The internship in the Material / Image Research Lab offers an immersive opportunity to develop advanced visual technology skills essential for history of art and architectural history research and digital humanities/digital scholarship. With a commitment of one to three units (total 30 hours/unit), interns may work on innovative projects such as 3D object scanning and the Central Coast Native American Modern to Contemporary Art Archive, for example. Written report required.

Enrollment in the course is subject to the student securing an internship. Internships are not provided by the department.

Interns may earn credit for a maximum of 12 units, but only 4 units may count toward the major.
